The following program-to-program articulation documents between Westfield State College and participating community colleges for on-line business outline in detail how each designated associate's degree program transfers into the curriculum for a selected concentration within the College's Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree.  Articulation documents currently available for fall 2008 transfer enrollment are designed to meet requirements for the Management concentration within the Business Management major.  Plans for 2009 include developing articulation documents with participating community colleges for the Marketing and Finance concentrations within the Business Management major.

Articulation documents with Massachusetts community colleges meet terms of the 1990 Commonwealth Transfer Compact and the statewide Joint Admissions Program, which includes the Tuition Advantage Program (TAP).  They are intended to be used as advising sheets for ALL prospective students enrolled in the associate's degree program specified for each participating community college.  The documents also can be used as guides to the course selection process throughout the completion of the associate's degree program.  Additionally, a link to current course-to-course equivalencies for selected community colleges is available at www.wsc.ma.edu/ceg to assist in the selection of elective courses in humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, and laboratory sciences embedded within articulation documents to complete associate's degree core requirements for the 1990 Commonwealth Transfer Compact.

Prospective students interested in transferring to Westfield State College either as solely on-line students or as traditional classroom attendees should stay in contact with business department academic advisors at both the community college and at Westfield State College to make sure their respective programs of study are progressing smoothly prior to transferring to the bachelor's degree-completion program.

Joint Admissions Program guidelines guarantee admission to qualified Massachusetts community college students who complete the designated associate's degree program for on-line business prior to transferring with a minimum cumulative QPA of 2.30, provided that they complete their application files by the priority filing dates for each semester.  The priority filing date for fall enrollment is March 1; the priority filing date for spring enrollment is October 15.  Applicants who complete their application files after these dates will be accommodated on a space-available basis.
