The Marketable You: How to Get the Career You Really Deserve

DGCE’s first annual career event will be held on Saturday, June 5th at 10:00 a.m. This event features a series of workshops and exhibitors all designed to help individuals adjust to today’s changing and demanding job market by enhancing their career-building skills.

The event will be held in the Garden Room of the Horace Mann Center at Westfield State College. During the event, the exhibit area will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with hour-long breakout sessions at 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

The Division of Graduate and Continuing Education announced today that the $30 application fee will be waived for all alum applying for admission into a graduate program for the upcoming summer and fall 2010 terms only. This limited-time initiative is designed to show support and appreciation for Westfield State alum during a difficult economic time. The Director of Program Development and Outreach, Meaghan Arena, said of the new initiative “We hope this waiver will act as an incentive to Westfield State alum who recognize the opportunities a graduate degree from their alma mater could provide in this job market.”

Through its Division of Graduate and Continuing Education, Westfield State offers graduate programs in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Public Administration, Accountancy, Criminal Justice, and English.
