Mission
Our mission is to offer a program that is recognized nationally and internationally as an "institute of excellence" for innovative, leading-edge intra-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research and study, addressing issues of homeland security.
Philosophy
The Institute of Homeland Security's philosophy precedes first from a recognition that knowledge in homeland security and its related issues are an essential prerequisite for the construction of sound decision making. Following from this, the Institute believes that current and future practitioners must be educated and informed so as to have a deeper understanding of the nature and threats confronting the United States
