Our Dedication to International Students
Westfield State College is committed to enrolling international students from a range of countries and fully engaging those students in both the classroom environment and the life of the campus and the surrounding area.
Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the College offers 25 major programs of study and 31 minors at the baccalaureate level as well as seven masters degree programs. The College is known for strong teaching in all of its academic programs, for devotion to student services, and for its highly visible honors program for distinguished students. Westfield State College is also committed to providing ESL and academic preparation focusing on the needs of international students.
Campus Life
At Westfield State College, we understand the value of life both inside and outside the classroom. We place emphasis on providing students with educational support services as well as activities that richly enhance the student experience outside the classroom. Concerts, gallery exhibits, lectures, and theater productions keep the campus lively. The 19 varsity sport teams compete in Division III of the NCAA. Intramural sports attract wide participation. The Woodward Center, a state of the art academic, athletic, and fitness facility, plays an integral part in the College’s athletic programs.
Additionally there are more than 60 active recreational, social, academic, and athletic clubs and organizations encouraging students to participate in the life of the College outside the classroom. Clubs and organizations accommodate a wide variety of interests and are wonderful tools to promote leadership. Students are encouraged to join such activities to enrich their experience at Westfield State.
With its safe, friendly campus and its easy access to major urban areas such as Boston and New York City Westfield State College is an attractive option for students looking to experience life both on and off campus.
