Westfield State offers a range of traditional liberal arts and contemporary professional-track programs. There are 25 undergraduate majors, 60 different concentrations, and many options for minors. Current popular majors are business, communication, criminal justice, education, and psychology. The Division of Graduate and Continuing Education offers full and part-time programs leading to bachelor's degrees, post-baccalaureate Teacher Certification, and also master's degrees in education, criminal justice, psychology, English and public administration. You can also pursue a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in education through the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education.

1Visual interview required by invitation only and upon acceptance to the college.
2Students may choose to complete a major in Education or a sequence of courses leading to licensure in the chosen area. All applicants seeking teacher licensure also must complete a major in an arts or science discipline or an approved interdisciplinary major.
3Formal admission to Liberal Studies is granted to students after successful completion of at least 30 credits and an interview with the Program Director. The purpose of the interview is to approve the relationship among the student's three chosen areas of concentration, which are required for the Liberal Studies degree. However, all Education applicants, including first-time entering freshmen, may select Liberal Studies as their required second-choice major, and are encouraged to do so.
4Audition required of all applicants to the major or minor program.
